Dark Inky Accent Walls for Fall

Time for cozy sweaters, layering up your favorite pieces and over-indulging in pumpkin flavored fare. So what does this mean for interior design? Let’s take a look at the hottest trend for autumn to get you #feelingfall!

Dark inky accent walls are a great way to embrace the new season and here are some tips and tricks to make it work for you!

Go dark glossy on the upper walls to make a room appear bigger. The reason you would choose glossy as opposed to flat is so the shine will help light reflect through the dark space. A great paint color for this is Tricorn Black from Sherwin Williams

When you’re looking to let your pieces shine (literally and figuratively), painting a teal accent wall can give your modern fixtures the juxtaposition that allows them to pop! Using a captivating paint color like Nocturnal Sea will help you achieve this look.

We love that gothic romance style so if you’re brave, go ahead and paint an entire room – top, bottom and trim a gorgeous glossy black color like, Black Blue by Farrow & Ball.
