2017 was definitely an interesting year to say the least. A year that encompassed projects both sophisticated as well as minimalist but equally as challenging. To be honest 2017 was eye opening and we learned a lot. Traveled a lot, worked a lot and meditated a lot!!! 2018 is here and we are ready, and currently working on projects in California as well as an office design in Chicago, IL. Maybe one of these days we will have more help with photography, then our iPhone images won't be so blurry! Oh well we have goals for 2018. With that being said, take a look at the gallery and see what you think. Thanks!

At Design & Manage, sourcing pieces or furnishings is a big part of what we do. With so many options to select from, we opt for vintage one-of-a-kind pieces in some instances, but we also like to take advantage of new pieces trending in the current market. We pride ourselves on having the unique ability to find what you're looking for, meaning, going the extra mile to do the heavy lifting at estate sales, antique markets, flea markets, sourcing the internet, and many other tools we utilize to find that perfect piece.
Below is an example of a reproduced vintage item, the Harry Bertoia chair, which was designed for Knoll around 1952. This chair was a huge hit throughout the 1950's and 60's and is still incredibly popular today. Knoll sells this chair anywhere from $7-800 per chair and the vintage version of these chairs can go for way more than that! See what you think of this reproduction version in the images below. It's pretty close, in fact it's almost identical with the same seat cushions and is offered in a variety of color options at half the cost. We are beginning a new project in September, the interior remodel and design of a very special Mid Century Modern home in the Naples neighborhood of Long Beach, California. The home is comprised of mostly glass, thus its nickname "Glass House." We will begin by installing new flooring throughout, lighting, paint and eventually new kitchen cabinets, surfaces, wall tile and Wolf appliances as specified by the client! Stage one will also include remodeling two bathrooms so stay with us for updates, progress images, and an inside look at the entire process!
